This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of LEADUS ([to be provided by the LEADUS owner]) handles personal data when you use LEADUS.

We follow data-minimisation principles: we collect information because it is needed to run the service, not merely because collecting it is technically possible.

1. Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with LEADUS, this may include:

  • Name and email address.
  • Account and authentication information.
  • Phone number, where you choose to provide it.
  • Company or business information you enter, such as brand name and service type.
  • Search activity within the platform.
  • Leads you save and notes you write.
  • Campaign and outreach information you create.
  • Feedback and support messages you send us.
  • Device and browser information, and IP address where technically required.
  • Product usage analytics and error logs.
  • Subscription and plan information.

2. How we use personal data

  • Creating and managing your account, and authenticating you.
  • Providing the LEADUS service, including saving your leads and managing campaigns.
  • Customer support and responding to your requests.
  • Product analytics and service improvement.
  • Security, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention.
  • Billing, where applicable.
  • Legal compliance and enforcing our agreements.
  • Communicating with you about the service.

4. Your data rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion or erasure where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
  • Object to processing where applicable.
  • Request restriction of processing where applicable.
  • Request data portability where applicable.
  • Lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority.

5. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, meet legitimate business purposes, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods are configurable and reviewed as the service evolves. Some records — for example legal acceptance records, billing records, and abuse or security logs — may be retained after account closure where we are legally required or legitimately need to keep them.

6. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, which include authentication controls, row-level access controls on stored data, encryption in transit, secure managed infrastructure, administrative audit logging, monitoring, backups, and security updates.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. We do not claim that LEADUS is immune from all risk.

7. Service providers

We use trusted service providers to operate the platform. These currently include cloud hosting and managed database infrastructure, authentication services, mapping and business-data services, transactional email delivery, and product analytics that we operate within our own infrastructure.

Payment processing providers are engaged only if and when paid billing is activated. This section is updated as providers are added or removed.

8. Cookies and local storage

LEADUS uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain your session, and remember preferences such as theme and currency.

Product analytics is collected inside your authenticated account session rather than through third-party advertising cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we later introduce non-essential cookies that require consent under applicable law, we will implement an appropriate consent mechanism first.

9. Children

LEADUS is a professional business service and is not directed at children. Accounts are intended for users who are at least 18 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that a child has provided personal data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Security incidents

We maintain internal processes to detect, log, investigate, and respond to security incidents, and to notify affected individuals and regulators where legally required. We do not publish internal security details.

11. International users

LEADUS is designed with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 in mind. Where we process data relating to people in other countries, additional privacy requirements may apply and will be addressed where applicable. Creating these pages does not by itself make LEADUS fully compliant with every applicable law.
